As manager of Focus on Energy’s New Construction Program, Zach Obert develops and tracks the program’s budget and energy savings goals, coordinates new construction efforts with Apartments & Condos Efficiency Services staff, and works with trade allies to promote the New Construction program. Previously, Zach served as project engineer for Farnsworth Group, an engineering and architectural firm, where he performed building commissioning, energy modeling, and database development, conducted research, and prepared proposals.
Zach is a member of the Madison chapter of American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), where he developed and maintained the chapter Web site for four years. Zach earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
