
An energy efficiency veteran of 24 years, Chuck Sasso provides technical oversight and administration of Focus on Energy’s Business Programs. In this role, Chuck develops energy savings estimates for various technologies, oversees the program’s measurement and verification activities, and approves of large grants. Chuck was instrumental in the design, construction, and ongoing facility management of WECC’s new LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold-designed headquarters.
Prior to joining WECC, Chuck served for 13 years at utility provider Madison Gas & Electric, where he led the development and implementation of several incentive-based programs to promote energy conservation, as well as an efficiency consultation service for large commercial and industrial customers.
Chuck received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He has also completed course work and research at Colorado State University toward a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Chuck is a registered professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin
