Residential Public Benefits Programs
In May of 2001, WECC was selected through a nationally conducted, competitive bid process to provide statewide administration for Residential Public Benefits Programs over the next 3-6 years. Marketed as "Focus on Energy," the residential program vision is to develop and implement comprehensive residential services that improve comfort, safety, durability and energy efficiency in new and existing single-family and multi-family homes.
Renewable Energy Public Benefits Programs
In March of 2001, WECC partnered with five talented organizations to form the Wisconsin Renewable Energy Network (WREN). The WREN team was subsequently selected through a competitive bid process to provide statewide administration for Renewable Energy Public Benefits Programs over the next 3-6 years. The program design is intended to increase the use of renewable, customer-sited energy technologies by providing information, facilitation, education, training and financial incentives to residential and business customers.
Residential Energy Efficiency Programs
In January 1998, WECC was selected through a competitive bid process to administer all residential energy efficiency programs for Alliant Energy. Responsibilities included program design, recruiting and managing subcontractors for program delivery, marketing, customer financing and incentive processing, responding to customer inquiries through the WECC Call Center, data tracking and reporting, contractor recruitment and training, and regulatory interaction.
