WECC is a training affiliate for Building Performance Institute National Accreditation
In recognition of WECC's successful work in advancing building performance and training within the residential
building industry, WECC was recognized in 2008 as a training affiliate for
Building
Performance Institute Inc.'s accreditation programs.
As a BPI training affiliate, WECC training and curriculum teaches contractors and technicians the fundamentals of building performance evaluation, home diagnostics and whole-home retrofit planning and execution, with a focus on the house-as-a-system concept.
Once trained and certified in BPI national standards, contractors and technicians are better positioned to complete quality, comprehensive work that helps homeowners improve the efficiency and comfort, safety and durability of their homes.
Raising the bar
BPI offers nationally recognized standards for contractor certification, accreditation and qualityassurance
programs. Its standards include certifications in building analyst, building shell, HVAC and multifamily
buildings. BPI's consensus-based national standards set the bar, and certified technicians who have completed
BPI's written and in-field practical examinations know they can identify a home's problems and their root
causes - and fix them right the first time.
