Regional Director - Midwest Programs

Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC), a national award-winning leader in the energy efficiency industry, is currently recruiting for a Regional Director. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for someone who wants to affect real change in the efficiency industry. Successful applicant will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of WECC's energy efficiency programs for residential and business clients in assigned Midwest states outside of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the start-up and on-going implementation of WECC's energy programs ensuring programs meet or exceed energy savings goals, revenue and profitability targets and client expectations
  • Develop and manage successful working relationships with existing clients
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, managing the preparation of proposals and negotiating contracts

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent or ten years experience in the design and implementation of energy programs required. Master's degree in business, engineering, economics, marketing energy analysis or related field of study preferred
  • Ten years experience in the management of energy programs including prior experience with:
    1. program design
    2. contracting
    3. forecasting
    4. project management
    5. staff management
  • Proven experience in supervision/performance management of off-site staff and/or management of multiple field offices
  • Superior knowledge of characteristics of key efficiency and/or renewable energy markets and measures
  • Successful track record of client management and problem resolution
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Track record of successful contract negotiation experience
