MADISON, Wis. (April 13, 2007) - Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC) is proud to announce
the addition of Niels Wolter and Kevin DeMaster to their energy efficiency and renewable energy team. Wolter
will oversee the company's Solar Electric Program and DeMaster will be program director of its Business Programs.
Wolter brings nearly a decade of solar energy program experience to WECC. He has been involved in the Focus on
Energy Solar Electric Program, the Wisconsin Million Solar Roofs Initiative and WisconSun. In addition, Wolter
has a bachelors degree in Geology, masters degrees in Geology and Land Resources and an Energy Analysis & Policy
certificate from the Institute for Environmental Studies at UW-Madison. He brings a wealth of expertise to WECC
from his experiences in the oil and gas industries and as an energy efficiency consultant. His passion for solar
energy technologies goes beyond his professional accomplishments as he lives in a house with a solar electric and
solar heating system.
DeMaster was most recently the energy manager of the Waukesha School District, where during his four year tenure,
he was instrumental in reducing the district's energy expenditures by $4.6 million and electrical and natural gas
use by more than 30 percent. DeMaster, who has a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from UW-Platteville,
also has extensive project management and continuous improvement experience in the manufacturing industry.
"Both Niels and Kevin are valuable additions to our staff. They will help strengthen the depth of our in-house
technical expertise and give WECC the opportunity to enhance the programs we offer to our clients," said Janet
Brandt, WECC executive director.
