Legal Counsel

We are Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC) - a national leader in energy efficiency and renewable energy services. Our growing organization has an immediate need for Legal Counsel.

Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal analysis, counsel and representation to our organization with the primary objective of minimizing risk in addition to providing policy analysis. Responsibilities include: Ensuring WECC compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, managing contractual functions in support of WECC programs, managing personnel-related legal functions and providing policy research and analysis to staff, the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.

Candidates must have:

Juris Doctorate in Law from an accredited law school
Strong knowledge of federal, state (Wisconsin and other states) and local laws
Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations
Strong legal writing and research skills
Excellent time management skills
Dispute resolution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated investigative skills
Supervisory experience
Political savvy
Successful negotiation experience
MS Office Software proficiency
